We contacted all customers with a specific model of V+ box to ask them to upgrade to a TiVo® for no extra cost by 31st May 2017 to ensure no interruption to their service. These V+ boxes will lose service from 1st June. Even if you have lost service, you may still order your new TiVo. All we need are a few details and your new TiVo box will be on its way. Swapping your box is easy
Your TiVo box comes with its own set up instructions – it’s as simple as setting up a DVD player. But if you do get stuck, just watch our handy video.
It's simple. The model of V+ box you need to swap will look like one of these two models:
Of course you can. You can then use your extra TiVo box to enjoy all the great benefits in another room.
No problem. We only need to replace certain models of V+ box (shown above). If you have two of these models of V+ then we’ll swap both and send one of our engineers out to install your new TiVo boxes. Just select an installation date that works for you. If you have other models of V+, don’t worry – we don’t need to swap those.
If you do not swap your old V+ box it will soon stop working, so you will not be able to continue watching your favourite shows and will lose all of your recordings. Our Tivo box has loads to offer, like recording your favourite shows, undeleting ones you’ve accidently wiped and more. And even better, swapping won’t cost you a penny.
If you have other Virgin Media TV boxes in your home, and you do not swap your SA8310 V+ box, you will only lose service on that box but not your other boxes, and there will be no changes to your bill and you’ll continue paying the same price you pay now for your service.
If this is the only Virgin Media TV box in your home and you have other services with us, and you do not swap your SA8310 V+ box, we’ll remove our TV service from your account and amend your monthly bill.
If you only have the SA8310 V+ box in your home and you do not have any other services with us, and you do not swap your box, we’ll close your account and send you your final bill.
As the recordings are stored on the hard drive of your V+ box, you won’t be able to view them on your new TiVo box. The best solution? We'd recommend watching your recordings as quickly as possible and get your new TiVo installed as soon as you can – we don’t want you to miss out on the fantastic features TiVo has to offer. If you do not upgrade by 31st May 2017 your model of V+ box will stop working. To ensure you receive your new TiVo with enough time to install it, we recommend you order your new TiVo box as soon as you can – the sooner you do, the sooner you get your hands on a shiny new TiVo box!
Our friends at Yodel will deliver your TiVo box to your billing address, on the day you’ve chosen, between 8am and 9pm. Make sure you add your mobile number to your details – that way we can text you on the delivery day with all the information you’ll need to track your order.
That’s okay, Yodel will try and leave your box with one of your neighbours. If they can’t, they’ll leave a card with details of how to reschedule delivery.
Unfortunately you can’t change your delivery date online, but don’t worry, Yodel will either leave your box with one of your neighbours or leave a card with details of how to reschedule delivery for a different date.

We are swapping either your SA8310 V+ HD box or Telewest SA8310 TVDrive HD box for a 500GB TiVo® HD ready box for free. QuickStart: TiVo boxes are required to be installed through QuickStart. During busy periods it could take us longer than 30 days to deliver your new TiVo box. If you have two or more boxes an engineer will deliver and install the replacement TiVo box.
